An orphaned webpage is a page that can be seen publicly online but doesn't exist in the WCMS. The page in the WCMS has been moved, renamed or deleted without un-publishing it from the web server (leaving the published web page as an "orphan"). Once orphaned, this asset cannot be edited in the WCMS.

To remove an orphaned page/folder/asset:

In the WCMS, create a new page (or folder) with the exact same directory path as the orphaned webpage that can be seen online. Once the page is created in the WCMS, publish it. This replaces the orphan page online. Then, simply un-publish the page.

Publish the folders you worked in to clean up the left navigation.
