Exercise #1: Log In / Dashboard

Take a moment to familiarize yourself with the dashboard area of the WCMS:

1. Log in the "wcmsclassroom" site in the WCMS - https://wcms.ucsc.edu with your CruzID Gold password. This site is a classroom/draft site but will look somewhat similar to what you will see when you log in to your own site
2. Click around in the dashboard and familiarize yourself with your dashboard and where different pages take you
3. Click around in the site folders, open them and view their contents
4. Note that almost every folder has a page called "index". This page tells the system to create a left navigation for that folder. It is also the "home" page for that specific folder. Read this page about "index" pages.
